Tourist Police Tool Up On Walking Street

PATTAYA: -- Our photographer was on hand recently for a handover ceremony of some very expensive equipment on Walking Street in front of Tourist Police bigwigs.

This equipment included new motorbikes, off-road vehicles, and two Segway machines (pictured) on which two of the tourist police subsequently went for a spin down Walking Street. Whether they would withstand the weight of the more lardy foreign tourist police volunteers is not known.

We would like to know where all this kit eventually goes, as we never see any of it being used around the town.

Does it get loaned out to other forces?
