Green Mamba'S On The Loose

Featured Replies

So, there's this story about Green Mamba's escaping from a "flooded building" in Nonthaburi

They didn't' exactly say which building or why the snakes were there.

I'm wondering if they were exotic pets or not.

was in Pakkred and there is a story already on here running about it.

From our friends at wiki... "Depending on the nature and severity of a bite, death can occur in as fast as an hour but usually it takes 2-4 hours before an untreated victim dies."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Western_green_mamba

There is also a

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eastern_green_mamba

"This species has caused fatalities among bitten humans. The mortality rate of untreated bites is unknown but is thought to be high."

Highly venomous snakes as per wiki... all I can say is... watch out!

Yes I know it was in Pakkred, but anyway you cannot followup to locked topics which is why I posted the question here.

Anyway, Green Mamba's are arboreal so it's probably headed for the nearest tree to escape the floods. Not sure the baby's would do that though but the adults certainly would.
