Toxic warning on Jomtien beach

PATTAYA: -- Escaping Bangkok floods only to find some of the beaches too dangerous to let young children play on.

This lovely mother Noo (pictured) with her eight-month-old beautiful daughter were staying in Jomtien to escape flooding waters in Bangkok where they live.

She saw The Pollution Solution Group removing dangers from the beach and told us how sad it is to see all of the littered cigarette butts and bottle caps everywhere and could never allow her priceless baby to sit or play on the beach for fear that she could ingest one of these things the moment she took her eyes off of her as many are buried in the sand out of sight.

Full story and picture of Noo and her baby HERE

Toxic?

Over dramatics on a no news day again???

Yes the stuff is not nice, and probably not nice to see either.

But is it going to kill you if you dip your big to in the sea?

A statement from one person that failed to mention her qualifications.

The fact is that there is terrible flooding inland that has flooded out many peoples homes and back yards that may have been littered with butt ends etc, and all eventually washed in to the sea.

Any one told her that the fish pee and defecate in the sea as well. :whistling:

Over dramatic for sure. I walk this beach on a regular basis. It's not like some of the best beaches in the world for sure, but better than many.

Pretty much every beach in the world has a problem with cigs and misc trash. I remember being on a remote beach in Mexico and seeing all the crap washed in from the sea. Unreal.

What a load of tripe, a totally made up story, yes there are ciggy ends and bits of trash but no more than anywhere in the world, and the same Western idiots reporting it, as if some Thai lady reported this what a load of bull.

Jomtiem Beach is former paddy fields have turned into a thriving beach. Only 3 km. down Pattaya Beach, Jomtien is highly recommended to those who seek a quieter resort. The 6-kilometer long, largely straight beach is popular with windsurfers and watersports enthusiasts. It is also quieter and more relaxing than Pattaya Beach. The beach here is cleaner than those on Pattaya Bay.
