Hello all. I want to go chiang rai by bus or van. Could anybody tell me where is the bus station in chiang mai ? Do they have frequent bus ? Is it safe ? How much does it cost ? Im staying near chiang mai university.

Just tell a red taxi driver to take you to Arcade Bus station. Not sure of the times of the buss but one leaves very often. You may need to get ticket in advance since it is a holiday. About 3 or 4 hours I believe. Yes it is safe as anything else in Thailand.

Green Bus from Arcade Bus station and private van from tour agency run about 5-7trips per day and cost btw 200-300B
