Scored some cheap tickets, but this means i have to fly quick. Too quick to obtain a non 'o' marriage visa in The Netherlands. It takes 2-3 working days and that is unfortunately too late.

Normally i arrive with at least a single entry non 'o', but this deal for the tickets is too good, a little inconvenience obtaining a non 'o' is worth it. (4 people for 350 euro instead of 1700 euro!!)

Is it possible to arrive on a 'Visa on Arrival' and change that in Thailand to a non 'o' marriage visa?

I have the funds in the bank, rental contract, business in Thailand etc.

Last time in Thailand was also on a multiple non 'o' and i stayed 7 months.

Are your flight tickets return tickets? If so, is the return flight within 30 days from the date of arrival in Thailand?

When you check in for your flight to Thailand, it is up to the airline whether they allow you to board without a visa and without an onward flight out of Thailand within 30 days from arrival.

Providing they let you on the flight and you actually make it to Thailand you can convert to a Non Imm O Visa as part of the process for applying for a 12 month Extension of Stay.

400,000 Baht in the bank or 40,000 baht monthly income needed.

Thanxs! That was at least reassuring.

Today i drove to the consulate in Amsterdam and explained the situation. I can pick up my hopefully multiple non imm. 'o' visa tomorrow, just in time!

As always, Thais are flexible. :)
