Does anyone know of a place that rents out costumes - Santa Claus to be more specific? Or, does anyone know where I can buy one? Or, does someone have one that they are willing to sell? We are doing a Christmas party in our village this year and are handing out gifts to the children, both Thai and farang.

Hi, I'm down in Bangkok, not Chiang Mai, but have a suggestion. I went to a local tailor and had her make one for me. I do a lot of Christmas parties. I think I spent about 4,000 baht (Jacket, pants, hat and red bag).

I'm not talking about a tailor shop, but here in Saphan Kwai there's an area where there are 40 or 50 small stalls. I just picked one. You may have something similar up there. Of course, it would help to bring a picture.

Hope it helps and Merry Christmas a bit early.

Ho ho ho,
