I'd like to stay a couple days in Sukothai, than take a bus to Tak: good, dont you think the people at the placetostay would know best? and even where the nearest busstop is?= avoid to go all the way to busstat. and come back sameway later........

Does anyone know how frequent the buses run and how long it takes the bus to go between these to places?

Like about anywhre here in LOS; ANY main rd has a bus ev 30-60 mins, seeing the distance it will take like 50-75 mins (non stop or stops)

Note that in this case there are many THROUGFH buses that run beyond Tak, like to Ch-Mai, Lampang, etc, and even a few to MaeSot.

Also note that the BUSst in TAK is quite some way out of town (but I guess youre going elsewhere, nah?

Thanks for quick reply. I stayed in Sukothai before, but don't know the contact info of the little place I stayed at, near the temples. I am taking my family on this trip and we have a 1 and a 4 year old! A friend who lives in Thailand recommend Tak and a hotel on the Ping river and 2 or 3 days worth of sights. I'll catch a tuk-yuk or taxi if the bis stop is far out from the hotel. Do you know if I can take a bus from Tak up to Chiang Mai without boing back to Sukothai? Thanks for your time.

Thailand recommend Tak and a hotel on the Ping river : sorry, Ive not reaklly visited TAK-town myself. so cannot comment..

Like I even said, before most buses FROM SUkh via Tak continue on, to a variety of places, incl ChMai.

Also TAK is very well on the main road BKk-Chmai that ALL buses use, so there is a near hourly 2nd class (=wioth AC, but no free service on board) bus doing the main stops along this way, should take some 5 hrs travel.
