‘11th Long Boat Tournament’ at Mabprachan reservoir

PATTAYA: -- Last weekend saw thousands of onlookers converging on lake mabprachan for the 11th long boat tournament.

The teams were competing for HRH Princess Sirindhorn’s and HRH Princess Somsawali’s Cup.

The competition is held to preserve the ancient Thai sport and to boost the City’s economy.

This year 28 long boats competed from different regions of the country and had 6 boats from neighboring countries such as Taipei, Macau, Hong Kong, China and Cambodia.
