beano2274
Looks like the missus is happier to go to Paris than Brussels. So the next thing is hotels, does anyone on Thaivisa have any good recommendations for hotels in Paris, my company use the Pullman at La Defence, but I believe it is too far out of the city for us. Any tips most welcome, thanks.
craigt3365
Either city, you're going to have a great time. And as you mention, being closer in is nice. We were not too far from the Louvre, and it was great. Could easily walk to many of the major sites. Would not recommend our hotel, but that area is great. WilliaminBKK
I love the Citadines chain, they have many locations in central Paris and if you book in advance the rates are reasonable. They have a mini kitchen which works out great for me. So much more in Paris, I find Brussels good for a day.
melvinmelvin
"my company use the Pullman at La Defence" not really far away, quick trip on RER or short trip by bus to western part of city and underground but the area you mention is pretty dead in the evenings, not much to do there
AyG
Hotel de la Place du Louvre is my personal favourite in Paris. It's only 3*, but its location close by the Louvre is excellent. The rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable. http://www.paris-hotel-place-du-louvre.com/
