Pig Bbq Caterers: Where To Find A Reliable "Pig On A Spit" Caterer?

Featured Replies

Hi, A group of us is looking to organize a party in late December and want to have a Pig BBQ just like the ones the beer bars have. Does anyone know of a reliable caterer that specializes in a "pig on a spit" BBQ? Phone numbers and/or info appreciated.

The one on Sukumvit right across from Pattaya Klang is excellent. She did my party for 50 last year and was excellent, I cannot speak highly enough of her food, service and all around great performance. Everyone who attended the party loved the food -- best potato salad in Thailand! They cut up the left overs and the dogs ate for a week! I made the BBQ sause, which they don't provide and is necessary for a real pig roast "Texas style". I am getting hungry..............

I paid B150 per head on the estimated head count. The amount of food and the size of the pig are provided accordingly. The woman said that they plan on 1.5 kilos of gross weight meat per person. If a few more or a few less show or don't show it won't affect the price. They provide the pig, potato salad and a green salad and plastic plates and forks. There was more than enough food, although there may have been 5 people less than we planned. If we had 10 more (5 more than planned) there would have been plenty of food, although relatives made a lot of Thai food and french fries to go with the pig. The minimum is, as I recall, around 30. With recent price increases in pork in the supermarkets, the price may be up now. I thought it was good value, and as I said I was very pleased. It was, however, the barbeque sause that made it all so great! :whistling:
