Hi,

I have a Non-immigrant ED visa. It is a single entry. It expires on the 21st of december.

The institution i was studying at are not really clear of what i have to now that i want to leave back to my home country.

All i want to know is if I can just pack my bags and leave and have no problem at the airport? or will i need any kind of documentation to show the emmigration officer when at the airport (like a certification saying that I have everything at peace with the school, or something like that)?

Also, I had understood that if i was going to stay more than 90 days, i had to report at the police station every 90 dyas and do the rentry process. But ive been here roughly 2 months and already have a ticket to leave on december 2. So, do i need to still get the police station thing done?

Please, any input will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
You use the visa to enter Thailand and have permission to stay for 90 days in the first instance. You then have two things to do every 90 days if you wish to stay a further 90 days. One is go to your local immigration office and get an extension to stay for those further 90 days (1900THB). The second is to report your address (free), usually at the same place you get the extension but a different desk. The two processes are more or less independant. As far as I know you just leave when you are finished, no special procedure.

Maybe this is stating the obvious, but it should be pointed out that the OP can't re-enter Thailand using that same visa. Once he's out, it's mot. I hope he learned enough Thai to know what that means.

Maybe a better term would be sia chii whit.

I saw nothing indicating his purpose of study was the Thai language. So perhaps an answer in English would be more helpful to him.

That would be an odd phrase to use for a non-living object. Anyway, better left to the Thai Language forum.

As said, no 90 day report and no issues or complications to leaving Thailand.

OK, what I was pointing out was the the visa would become invalid -- expired -- as soon as he left the country. Sia chii whit is kind of an inside joke in our household. When I was fairly new in Thailand I returned a newly purchased applicance to a store when it died after using it the first time. Of course, the staff got a good laugh out of me describing it as "sia chii whit", because yes, that term is only used with living beings.
