Patak'S Indian Pickles

Featured Replies

Anyone know where I might be able to buy these?

(Already looked in Rimping - not bothered at Big C as I think it unlikely there).

Hi Triffid, Have only seen Pataks Mango chutney, not problem for

me as I make my own, chutneys and pickles,

Last night some of my family arrived from the UK,with 10 jars

assorted Pataks curry pastes, so I be OK for another year.

regards Worgeordie

I'm extremely jealous of you and green with envy.

Sure is good stuff!

OP, you may want to try Tops supermarkets. I've only used the one in Robinsons at Airport Central and in my opinion have a much wider selection of goodies than the Rimping stores do.

I was going to be checking Tops at Robinson tomorrow anyway - somehow expected Rimping to have a wider range of imports from England. I suppose if I don't find it there, it'll be on my shopping list on the next Bangkok trip - any suggestions there? otherwize I'll put in the query on that forum.

Possibly Villamart stores in Bangkok. May be best to ask on the Bangkok forum though.

Think I may be due a shopping trip there myself soon so it would be interesting to know if they have them.

Sounds as if you may be in Bangkok before me. May I work on the assumption that whichever one of us gets there and finds it will put on this thread the location?

Absolutely correct and fine by me. I will also try to contact a few of my friends in Bangkok to see if they can help. They may have more important things on their minds though right now given the state of things down there.

I have a vague recollection of seeing something like this in the foreign food section in Makro, Hangdong Road branch. The first aisles as you enter the store. I wouldn't advise a long trip just to check this out, as I'm probably mistaken, but I do recall something curry sauce or chutney related a while back.

Rimping near the airport had what looked like a very full range of Bradford's finest from Patak yesterday. Prominently displayed around a pillar, not far from the cashiers. Turn left as you go in, then keep loking on your right.

Reet good stuff, swarmi!

oh yes pataks vindaloo curry paste, pataks nan breads, pataks anything will doooooooooooo.

A word to the wise, lawang airlocks! I bought some Pataks curry sauce, from a shop I shalt name, a couple of years ago and was devastated to find an airlock in it. I immediately contacted Pataks HQ. After sending a photo of product and receipt, they sent me not only a replacement product but also a few freebies as way as an apology. Good products, great service mak mak.
