taiwanatoa
Hello folks.I'm going to do the TEFL.PLUS in Phuket next month and so I'm wondering if its possible to get a cheap flight direct from San Francisco,or should I just fly to BKK and take a bus to Phuket? Thanks in advance.

Ricardo
Phuket has international-flights from within the region, and also some charter-flights for package-tourists, during the winter peak-season, however IMO the OP may find the best price is indirect into BKK with a connecting-flight onwards to HKT ? Look at the usual search-engines I guess, skyscanner shows Singapore & Korean at about B40k, for inbound early-January & return early-March, they both avoid transiting through BKK, flying into HKT direct from SIN & ICN which saves some time/hassle. While Korean offer SFO-BKK for about B34k, add-on B5k for Thai Airways down to HKT, or slightly-less for a low-cost carrier like Air Asia or Nok-Air ? As always, watch the best-contenders for any short-term offers, and try to arrange your flights for mid-week, may help save a little.
phuketrichard
Asiana airlines Asiana airlines SF-Seoul-Phuket, better than Korean airlines ( they also fly into Phuket via Seoul) and cheaper as well Cathy Pacific does it via HK but a bit pricey. Bangkok-Phuket under 2,000 baht on Nok, 1-2 go and Air Asia Edited December 6, 2011 by phuketrichard
