Crime Man Beaten to Death by Nephew & Friends After Confrontation Over Cannabis Use
Read the article. More evidence that weed kills. Potential responses: "Weed doesn't kill people, people kill people." "If weed is criminalized, only criminals will have weed." "From my cold, dead bong." -

Fire 28 Years On: Remembering the Royal Jomtien Hotel Fire Tragedy in Pattaya
Unfortunately, some of the systemic deficiencies common in Thailand seem to have not been addressed as demonstrated by the Ember Hotel fire in December 2024, which saw 3 killed. This is why events like the Jomtien Hotel fire must be remembered, so that repeats can be prevented. -

Maybe where you live, but where I live I find that Lotus is cheaper than Makro on many items. -

If You Could Live Anywhere in the World, Would You Still Choose Thailand?
NOT "stuck" but Laos and Cambodia have problems that Thailand doesn't even though they are cheaper. I can go back to the USA anytime I please but I have no family there and costs are too high to live on a retirement income. The term "stuck" implies that there are no options. There ARE options but they are worse than Thailand. -

Inheritance order in a Thai family
Effectively yes. If there are no children and a surviving parent inherits, once they have whatever inheritance there was they are free to dispose of it as they see fit. -

Do Foreign Men Often Move to Thailand Because They Can’t Get Women Back Home?
Some words of simple advice. Not going to see Muay Thai has no bearing on a person. Some like it, some don't, just like any other sports. I like boxing but not Muay Thai much. Like baseball and football but not soccer or basketball much, but might look if nothing else is on. Many don't like fishing or hunting but they're two things that are a part of me. Not being able to speak Thai comes from not needing to, or wanting to. Many live here and can't speak Thai, just as many Asians live in the US and can't speak English. If it isn't necessary, there's no need. There are always ways to translate if you need to communicate with others. I went to Phuket on my honeymoon and the place looked like Bangkok with a beach, besides part of the interior where I went fishing. Dirty with garbage all over, although the ocean view was nice if you didn't turn around. Koh Chang was nicer.
