Swim With The Dolphins In Los

Featured Replies

Thinking of taking my kids to swim with the dolphins somewhere in Thailand.

Can anybody suggest good places to do this?

Thanks

There are a few pink dolphins you can swim with around Khanom, just outside Surat Thani near the ferry terminal to Koh Samui. Some very nice beaches as well. Well worth a visit.

In Pattaya, there is a place called the Sanctuary of Truth. They have that there.

I'd be very reluctant to take any children swimming with the dolphins in the Khanom area.

There are strong tidal currents in the seas off Khanom down the coast to Sichon.

I can speak from personal experience here. I hired an inner tube at the Kao Ply Dam resort, 15km south of Khanom to swim out to the pink dolphins which were only 50 metres or so off the beach. But couldn't reach them owing to an extremely strong current which just pushed me southwards. There was no way I could swim against this current, only with it or cross ways back to the beach. Ended up about 300 metres from where I entered the water.

You may indeed be right about the currents from the beach but for me the best way to see them is to take a boat trip So you then have no worries about getting back to the beach.

Certainly take a boat out to see them, it's the only safe way!

+1 Pure cruelty, dont support it.

Yes , very cruel to keep them in captivity .. let them live free in the oceans..... And they taste just like Tuna..... Mmmmm scrumtious.. Ask the peoples from the Faroe Islands...

They didn't have swimming with dolphins but there was a show and you can pet them but last time I checked the dolphin was long dead.

Best call ahead first toi check.

New place opened in Pattaya last month, think its up siam country club road, also have a large venue at Chantaburi south of Pattaya.
