Oz Permanent Residency Visa Leaving Thailand

Featured Replies

We are in Australia at the moment. Thai wife granted Permanent Residency (PR) in Australia.

PR Label placed into her Thai Passport.

Class BS Resident, Sub Class 801, Conditions Mig. Regs. Sched 8, Conditions NIL.

I know that on her Thai Passport she can leave and enter OZ without any problem and that she can enter Thailand with no problem. However I am wondering as she has now been granted PR in OZ, does she have to get a Visa from the Thai Consulate in Sydney to now stay in Thailand for over 6months and if she does not get this Visa, if applicable, will there be a problem on departing at Bangkok Airport, with either the Airline or Thai Immigration.

Any clarification appreciated
