Does anyone have information on buses leaving Chaing Mai going to Udon Thani like:

What bus company and website?

Time schedule?

Price?

Length of trip?

And any information on the bus from Udon Thani to Chiang Mai.

There are a couple night buses, not all of them good. I believe Sombat tour do this route now; if so then that would be a good bet. (Dont think Nakhon Chai Air do it, but that would be even better)

Price for a VIP bus I would expect to be 700 baht or so. This us a guess; don't sue me if it's 600 or 800.

Websites: nope. (Nakhon Chai have one but it's a bit spotty these days. )

Time: overnight; easily 10 hours I think, plug it into Google maps for another estimate.

Back to CM: same companies, of course. You can buy the ticket in advance.

Nok Air has 2 flights a day. Around 1800b or so for Eco.

You couldn't pay me enough to take a bus from here to there.

Sombat tours is your best bet, I think they leave around 9pm on alternate days
