Looks like Thai is using the A346 to London from mid January until March-perhaps as they enhance the 747 fleet.

FYI if you have pre-arranged seat assignments better to check with them to select new seats.

747 have 10F 40J 325Y

A340-600 have 8F 60J 199Y

TG can't fill a jumbo-jet during the winter high-season ? Load-factors must indeed be bad ! :o

Don't be silly of course they can there's going to be 20 mil peep's coming next year.

They had been cancelling loads of flights to LHR, maybe by using a smaller plane they will be able to maintain 2 a day.

Understood, but that was in low-season last month with the floods, this is for peak-season which ought to be busier, unless their forward load-factors are looking very bad indeed ?

Agree absolutely that it's important to retain the slots & frequency out of LHR, I wonder of a similar substitution might also occur on other popular long-haul routes ?

It'll also be interesting to see how many extra domestic-flights are added over the New-Year period.

When will they be flying direct into Nakhon Sawan International thats what the 20 million expected tourists will want to know! Been to Pattaya, done Phuket, got the tea shirt in Bangkok now take me to the place jimi hendrix called "Purple Haze"!
