That's what happens when you (the HD manufacturers) put all your production in one basket-case.

Its kind a good for Seagate. They get a lot of money fromthe insurance probably for an older facilities and they can build new facilities with new technologies. But bad for Thailand, since the insurance companies willwant a grantee no more flood in future and a lot prevention are put in place which Thai government suck at it. Plus Thailand minimum wage increase so bye bye Thailand and hello other Asian countries

You kinda missed the plot here. Seagate manufacturing sites were not effected by the floods. Their supply chain got hit. I do not think they were insured for supply chain impacts.
