Attempted sexual assault on 22 year old woman in East Pattaya

PATTAYA: -- An attempted sexual assault occurred in a small forest in East Pattaya on Wednesday afternoon. Police were called to the area by the alleged victim, Khun Emigar aged 22, who was clearly shaken but was able to describe the chain-of-events to Police. The incident began with a phone call from her new boyfriend known only as “Boy” aged 25. He wanted to see Khun Emigar and arranged for a friend to pick her up from the car park of Big C Extra in Central Pattaya to bring her to him. Soon after a man, aged between 25 and 30, wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans with very dark skin, arrived and claimed he was a friend of “Boy” and would take her to him. However, on the way, he made a detour to a small forest located at the rear of Dow Karaoke Bar located in East Pattaya. He then forced the woman off the bike and reportedly attempted to sexually assault her. She managed to escape and raise the alarm. During a struggle with the attacker, she lost her handbag which contained 1,100 Baht and personal documents.
