Suspect most Consulates will issue single entry for a 90 day stay and a 60 day extension would be available to cover about 5 months.

The birth certificate is mosttims enough to get a single non-O, good for 60 days. In Thailand you can get a 60 day extension. For the extension yu would need the birh certificate, ID card of daughter and your daughter needs to accompnay you to immigration.

Just an option but if you wanted you could just go for a double entry tourist visa which would give you 60 days plus 30 day extension x 2 = 6 months and you wouldnt need to prove anything.
