Anyone have any recommendations for a Taxi service from the Darkside into Pattaya.

Someone reliable who I can call at short notice, must be able to take the booking in English.

Next time you're at Carrefour (or Lotus or anywhere taxis congregate (the car taxis are at the shopping centers along Beach/2nd Road) and get some phone numbers. Also, take note of their fixed prices from your location. Then, when you need a ride, give them a ring.

From my experience, you'll need someone who lives near where you live, presuming that is where you want to go from or to. Why ? because if you get the number of a guy who sits outside the Marriott as his day job, he may well sub contract when you phone him to come pick you up or simply not come at all or take 2 hours to get to you, whereas a guy from the next soi will be there in 5 minutes, he knows where you live and if you do call him from town, he knows that he is near his home at the end of the run.
