Yorkshire Bank Transfer To Bangkok Bank

Featured Replies

Usually takes 3 days now takes only 2 hours as they have changed from bacs to FPS. Just some info for all of you that bank with them..

Maybe you should clarify that you mean 2 hours from a UK branch of Yorkshire Bank to the UK branch of Bangkok Bank? Some may think you mean to a Thai branch of Bangkok Bank.

In theory all UK banks should be using FPS for national transfers very soon.

I'm with Nat West and they tell me there is no 'easy' way to transfer here? I have to send a form by post everytime

NatWest use SWIFT for transfers to here and they are "easy" enough. You should be able to do it via telephone banking unless it's for a very large sum.

If you make smaller transfers regularly you should investigate using a bank that charges less per transfer (Halifax still charge GBP9.50 I think). Or use a credit card that has no currency weighting (Metrobank is one, there are others) for ATM withdrawals.

It all depends on the amount you are transferring.
