Three guns seized at late-night Pattaya Police Checkpoints

PATTAYA: -- Three guns were seized at two Pattaya Police Checkpoints in the early hours of Saturday. Police Colonel Nantawoot, the Pattaya Police Chief made his way to the checkpoints at the North and South Pattaya intersections with the Sukhumvit Road to inspect the weapons and question the suspects in possession of the firearms. Checkpoints will be a regular occurrence on the streets of Pattaya over the festive season and with an added incentive of a 2,000 Baht bonus for any Police Officer arresting someone with a gun, cars, trucks and motorbikes are sure to be heavily scrutinized at the checkpoints whereas previously it was mostly motorbikes and their drivers who were stopped and checked.
