December 25, 201114 yr I will be staying in Sukhumvit 19 with 2 teen girls. What to do? Are there fireworks at Lumpini Park or another nearby area?
December 25, 201114 yr I will asumme they are your daughters , anyways, hop the bts to childlom station and catch the fireworks at central world. Even better imo, take it to saphan taksin station and watch the incredible show by the river.

We live up north, they are in school in BKK so I am going down for the weekend to entertain them. Thanks for your input.
December 27, 201114 yr Is it really that huge? Where is the best firework display in Bangkok, near the river?
December 27, 201114 yr Balo, central world is massive in terms of crowds but imo head down to the river near the hotels like shang, sheraton, penin, hilton and oriental, the fireworks on the barges against the backdrop of the river can't be beat. Cw is full of important people apparently yacking on microphones, 400000 people jammed together-great if you want to people watch I guess but not my style. To each their own, some people like cw though. I don't like the crowds.
December 28, 201114 yr "I will asumme they are your daughters." HAHAHA!! I wish I could have gotten to this thread sooner. The question of what to do with 2 teen girls in Bangkok was begging for a joke...
December 28, 201114 yr We celebrated our honeymoon in a suite at the hilton on new years eve a few years back-fantastic, the fireworks weren't bad either!
December 28, 201114 yr Central World is terribly overcrowded.. not much of fun. Riverside has many high end hotels and all of them have nice fireworks. Sirocco would be probably best place to watch the show but very pricy as well
