Cheapest Way To Get Work Permit?

Featured Replies

I've read lots on here about the 2 Million Baht Share capital company and think I understand most of it.

But

Is there another options to get a work permit through a thai company you set-up for your gf. (No comments about watching your back please)

or

Any other options. (Don't want to work for private company)

I'm 50 and UK Passport holder.

Why would you want to do that? You do know the 2 million Baht does not need to be paid up in cash?

It is possible to set up a Sole Proprietorship for her but it would be harder for you to obtain the work permit.

Maybe because initially the outlay could be less:

From what I've read 500,000 baht needs to be paid up in cash.

Around 300,000 needs to be salaried for 4 thais per annum + + +

Just looking at different options to weigh the initial outlay. You don't mention a limited company via my gf.

Early days for me just looking to get all the options together.

You don't need 4 Thais employed to obtain a work permit or to form a company.

No difference in cost by having your GF as the MD. A big difference however in you having protection over your investment. If your GF was the MD and you wanted to obtain a work permit, still 4 Thais are NOT required to be employed. The same requirement on an extension of stay based on business, 4 Thais required no matter if you or your GF is the MD. Do your yourself a big favor and have control!

Well, some of us in similar situations do appreciate the exchange of questions and answers.

Perhaps because we do not know it all yet. :o
