Ideas For New Year

Featured Replies

Hello,

I am currently in Bangkok with my girlfriend and we're looking for ideas of where to travel to for new years eve.

I was looking in particular at Phuket, Chiang Mai, Samui or Krabi but I'd be willing to try other places that aren't Pattaya, Hua Hin or Ko Chang as I've been to them all multiple times before.

I have been preoccupied with some other issues and only managed to check flights last night, most of which are not available or sold out.

There's always the bus but it's a 13 hour trip (to Phuket) so I've read and that seems too long.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks.

I have a friend who tried to do something with his GF over new years. Hotels were booked out! Might want to focus on hotels first, then transportation next???? Tough time of year to travel.

Air France to Phnom Penh Sat 31st to Tues 3rd 6250 baht return incl taxes (per pax). Only 3 flights a week.

Hard to get seats on any plane less than ฿7000.

For local I like to go Korat (Khao Yai) great western restaurants selling German sausages & steak.

Choke Chai Farm etc. yeah I know no fireworks but...different,fresh air,2 hrs by Van..Hotel ummmm...maybe too late.

For International what about Macau via airasia (expensive go,return not too bad + no visa needed) or Ho Chi Minh? or even Penang (me this year Penang) You can even go via Hat Yai then Van to Penang.

Just my 2c worth.Sorry :) I am sure you've book already anyway.

So where do you suggest going in Pattaya for New Years eve?? I am interested in seeing fireworks and having dinner/drinks.

go to the beer gaden and then stand on the beach with a few drinks , simple but nice .
