Short Term Car Hire

Featured Replies

Hi everybody

I will be in Chiang Mai in February and will need to hire a car for a couple of days. Nothing to big.

Can anyone recommend a car rental company in Chiang Mai?

Thanks

Hi. Try Northwheels on the moat. I found them very good.

Thanks Apa

Did they offer any insurance cover? Was the hire rate reasonable?

800baht per day compared with North Wheels 1500baht. For the same Honda Jazz type car Not new but perfectly acceptable. No contest. Just make sure the petrol guage registers FULL before take off. The office is next to ART CAFE at the top end of Thappae Road. At this price you must follow the instructions and book by email and pay electronically.I've used the service a few times and it's all above board and professional.

Northwheels - just rented a vios auto from them for four days and was very very pleased, THB 1,300 a day inclusive of everything, maximum THB 5k excess, the car was nearly new. Avis wanted THB 1, 650 plus insurance for a crappy beat up wreck and Budget wanted THB 1,900 plus!

I have used North Wheels on half a dozen occasions prior to purchasing my own car.

Always good service.

Friends, long time resident also speak well for them.

Some people shop at Harrods or Hermes, some shop at Tesco or Target, others go to the local Indian corner shop and I guess they're all mostly happy customers.
