Brazen late night robbery at Frenchman’s East Pattaya home

PATTAYA: -- A break-in occurred at a house in East Pattaya, in the early hours of Tuesday, while the occupants were only meters away in the back garden. Banglamung Police were informed of the break-in and made their way to the house located at the Plenary Park Estate close to Soi Neun Plub Wan, owned by Mr. Gerrard Marfaing aged 64, a retired officer in the French Army. He explained that he came from the garden and saw a young Thai woman in the living room area close to the front door of the house. Initially he thought she was a member of his wife’s family but soon realized she was up to no-good. She ran out and managed to escape with a gold bracelet and 2,500 Baht in cash.

Plenary Park is WAY down NPW and out behind Wat Sutawas area. The moobaan is maybe half full and surounded by lots of poor Thai wooden shack type houses so not surprised there was this burglary attempt.
