November 27, 200520 yr My condo in Bangkok has a TRUE phone line. As I am in Thailand only a few months in a year, I do not have a monthly subscription with an ISP. Instead I am at the moment using a prepaid service, WebNet of Loxinfo, through a dial-up modem In Bangkok again in a few weeks, I plan to change to the ADSL service of Loxinfo, again not a monthly subscription but a so-called refill package where I pay a certain amount for a certain number of hours of future usage. I plan to bring a wireless modem/router from the UK, and I hope it will work in Thailand. It is a Planet ADW 4100. The modem settings, I presume, do not depend on the phone provider but on the ISP. Is this correct? Searching this forum, I found references to VPI/VCI and encapsulation (PPPoE in Thailand). Can I expect to get the necessary details for these settings from Loxinfo when I buy the pre-paid package?
