When my tourist visa is up and I need to use the second of my double entry tourist visa, what is the best place to do a border crossing from the south Andaman area?

there are many visa run companies in Phuket, check the Phuket Gazette for their ads. Ranong is the cheapest, can find total service for 1500 baht/person and up. Look for full-size bus, the minis can be a bit kamikaze-like. Pickup and drop-off is usually at some central locations but a few do door-to-door. Bring a fresh US$10 for the Burmese side. Actual crossing may be at Andaman Club (island between Ranong and Burma shore, or just a short run across the water to Burma side. Alternatives are to bus down to Satun and take the ferry to Langkawi, stamp in/out and return. Can also fly down HKT-KL on same day in/out, that give 30-day vs 15-day for land crossing.

Crossing inclusive is 850 Baht, Thai National can go for 50 Baht......you need to get there yourselfe unless a company does a trip from Krabi

Are you saying there are companies that will take your passport and return with it...doing the whole thing for you - is that possible?

He is saying you must make your own travel arrangements. Passport being stamped at border without you present would not be legal.
