Double post,sorry.... Is there a new bridge to cross?i need to cross the river but now they tell me not possible in nakhon

Who is the "they" that are telling you that you can't cross over to Thakek, Laos, at NKP? Have they been there recently?

In any case, yes, there's the new bridge so no need to take a boat.

Alternatively, if you want, you could also cross at Mukdahan to Savannakhet, also via a bridge.

foreigners told me not possible

to go by boat in nakhon,we need take bus and use new bridge,i will keep you posted.

Ok, very pleasant officer in thakek. Pretty much empty.

Took me 2h from nakhon.70 bahts for bus 1 way.departure every hour from nakhon.

It was a visa run.
