Three young correction facility escapees from Rayong found in North Pattaya

PATTAYA: -- Three children were picked-up by Police in North Pattaya, in the early hours of Thursday, who had run away from a Young Offenders Institute in neighboring Raying Province. Police were called to the corner of Soi Potisan 6/1 after the children were spotted by local residents. The boys appeared nervous when approached by Police and quickly confessed to running away from the Institution following tearful allegations made by them to Police of physical abuse by older boys. They claimed to have walked almost 50kms to Pattaya over the space of 2 days and also revealed their parents had placed them in the Institution due to bad behavior and Police checks later confirmed they had not been involved in any criminal activities which led to their detention.
