Events In March 2012

Featured Replies

G,day,

Are there any major events happening in March 2012? I am planning a visit with some friends. Looks like we are one month short of Song Kran.

thanks

Matt

Can you wait until Songkran? March is really the shittiest month by far in the North.. It's super dry, hot, and often very hazy. No views, and nature is dead because it hasn't rained since November.

(Ok Songkran is also hot and dry, but the party more than makes up for it. For decent weather you need to wait until we get some rain, later in May or June. That's a very good time.)

Royal Floral will end on March 14th so there is at least that.

Thanks, guess it will just have to be the usual sightseeing.

Unfortunately we can't wait till April. Would have been great to be there during Song Kran. Will probably have to miss the Royal Floral too as my friends will only be there in the latter part of March.

Yes it will end then but I believe the gardens will still be there. Only less a lot of tourists.

It might not be a major event for Chiang Mai but it will be for us, a big family reunion. Kate from Australia Ben who will be out there already doing research for his masters, his wife Nim who will be coming with us from the UK ,So you have been warned it's party time. Looking forward to meeting old friends .
