Is it possible to renew a 1 year Non-immigrant O Visa for another year without having to go back to England? I am a Female British national residing in Chiang Mai. I was able to get my original 1 year non-immigrant visa from Hull last year with basically my lease on a house here in Chiang Mai and no financial information. Can I apply for an renewal here, and if so will they require financial information?

You would have to have some reason to qualify, marriage, children, retirement, etc. to get one within the region or to apply for an extension of stay, also the extensions would most likely require financial proof.

The rental of an appartment is no reason to grant an extension.

If you are over 50 years old, you could extend based on retirement if you can show an income of 65,000 baht a month (can be from abroad) or 800,000 in a bank account in Thailand in your name for at least 2 months OR combination of yearly income and money in the bank in thailand, totaling 800,000.
