Christmas/new Year In Phuket With Kids

We are a family of 5 with 3 children aged between 7 and 10 who come on holiday to Thailand/Phuket often. We have never been there for christmas day itself or new year's eve and are just wondering what things/festivities there are going on that would be christmassy with children?

We are thinking of moving over to Thailand in the future and have bought some land, visited Dulwich school etc. Maybe there are some things going on over the Holidays that the school has organised? or that some of the expat families there have organised? Does anyone know of anything?

We would love to meet some other families to find out what living in Phuket, going to school in Dulwich, is really like. It would be great to get some feedback - especially if you moved with young children and pets.

Thanks

We have spent the past few Christmases in Phuket and will do so again this year. You have to bear in mind that it is a Buddhist country and so the festivities are very limited. There is Christmas Mass at 11am at the Sheraton Grande at Laguna, or if you are nearer Phuket Town, the main church there has Mass (sorry, don't know what time).

I'm not aware of any organised festivities, but there may be some through ex-pat schools or communities.
