C.M. Airport International Departures And Arrivals

Featured Replies

Which airlines internationally arrive and depart from Chiang Mai International Airport?

Also which destinations are they arriving from and departing to?

I seem to remember at one time flights to China departing from Chiang Mai. But it has been a few years.

Thanks in advance?

China Airlines used to fly into CM from Taipei and Korean Airlines used to fly into CM from Seoul and/or Inchon. I don't know if these flights still exist or not.

Malaysian Air Asia - to Kuala Lumpur (daily 1 or 2 flights)

Thai Air Asia - to Singapore (daily)

Lao Airlines - to Luang Prabang (daily)

Korean Air - to Seoul Inchon (daily, 2 flights on Sunday)

Air Bagan - to Yangon (Thu & Sun)

Silk Air - Singapore (Sun, Tue, Wed & Fri)

Thai charter airline Business Air - does occassional charter flights to Seoul Inchon

These seem to be the only international flights from CNX at this time.

Air Asia went to once a day to KL about 5 years ago.

Korean Air flies 4 days a week, at most, to Seoul.

I believe China Eastern, or a similar sounding airline is currently flying to Kunming from CNX.

In a nutshell you can fly direct to LPQ, KUL, SIN, RGN, ICN and KMG.

Air Asia have talked about a HKG flight this year.

Kunming is a painless 90 minute evening flight on China Eastern, for connections onward or just for exploring Yunnan etc.

Air Asia is currently running 2 flights to KUL (3 days a week). I flew back from KUL this week on a much more civilised 1245pm flight rather than the painful 0655am KUL-CNX flight.

Air Asia went to once a day to KL about 5 years ago - wrong - morning flight daily plus an afternoon on Tue,Thu & Sat.

Korean Air flies 4 days a week, at most, to Seoul - funny how their own website says 1 flight Mon thru Sat and 2 flights on Sunday.

Thai Airways to KL but you stop in Bangkok for plane change, its considered from CM since you do immigration in CM.

Knocka, my apologies and thanks for the updated info.

5 years ago Air Asia had 2 flights a day, every day, KUL-CNX-KUL then they went to one a day. Glad to see they added 3 more flights a week.

Korean Airlines only had 3-4 flights per week last spring. Glad to know they've doubled that number in the past few months.
