Reliable Starter Apt Or Condo In Cm & Chiangmai House

Featured Replies

Hello!

I am looking for a good starter rental apt. or condo in CM when I visit in Feb. I just want a three month lease while I settle down.

Does anyone know of a good place, preferably furnished, where I will not get scammed on the security deposit and/or the utilities? I think it would be best to be with other expats. Is there one section of town that is more convenient for expats?

Also, an expat once recommended of a business called Chiang Mai House that can quickly set people up someplace. Has anyone had any experiences with them?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Would help if we knew your price range.

You're right! Sorry about that.

As for a price range, anywhere from about 5,000 to 10,000 baht per month. Maybe that's a broad price range, but I don't know the market that well. I want to be flexible.

I recommend the Verachai Court Hotel.

In the city Huay Kaew Residence 4k baht shooebox, as long as you follow the checkout procedure and notify one month in advance and sign the check out time book. 400 baht non refundable keycard fee, 500 baht cleanup fee upon exit, unless you clean it up yourself.

Green Hills is a nice quiet new apartment, a bit too quiet for me though friend is paying 8k baht month to month.

I recommend Galare Thong on Chang Klan Rd. About 9000/ mo for really nicely furnished place on 3 month contracts.

Several of my friends have stayed there and really liked it.
