Summer Holidays In Cm

Featured Replies

My family (my wife, myself and two daughters ages 13 and 9) are planning our summer (March, April and May) in CM. We looking for advice on accomodations. We are contemplating three serviced apartments: 1. Grand Napat. 2. Frangipani. 3. Studio 99. Any advice or recommendations will be appreciated.

Just make sure that you have good air con. It is HOT at that time of year.

Web sites like www.tripadvisor.com have loads of feedback and comments from guests who have stayed at a multitude of accom house in CM, might give you an insight to what you can expect. It is a very hot time of the year and getting around can be quite uncomfortable at times.

How much do yuo want to pay?

40k-60k baht/month.

We spent 5 days at Studio 99 last year. We rented a two bedroom apartment - we had our teenage son with us.

We enjoyed our stay there. It is in a very nice location. Handy to Tha Pae Road and within walking distance to a lot of restaurants.

Reception staff were very helpful and their wifi internet is very good.

I don't think I would stay there for more than a couple of weeks though. The kitchen facilities are very basic and there is no garden for your kids to play in. There is no swimming pool either. They do not offer parking - if you intend to rent a car...

Because it is in a back soi it can feel boxed in. I would say it is more suited to somebody on a business trip rather than a family on vacation.

Can't comment on the other two.

Thanks. I'll cross that one off my list. I was leaning more towards The Grand Napat because it has a pool. Any comments on the Frangipani and the Grand Napat?
