Anyone know where I can buy only the amplifier? I already have the speakers but the amplifier doesn't work as it's supposed to. I've checked Tesco, Big C and the like, but they only have the complete set with speakers.

I saw a hi-fi shop in one of the upper corridors of central plaza on my way up to IT City. I can't remember if it's on the 3rd floor (same as IT City) or 2nd. Didn't go in but looked like he had some decent stuff on display...

Then depends on your budget - the hi-fi shops cater mostly for audiophiles with big budget, while the chain stores cater for the everyday "hi-fi in a box" stuff where you're unlikely to find a standalone amp...

Top floor of Robinson, called powerbuy I think. Got mine there, Onkyo.

I think but am not 100% sure, that you may need a 5.1 processor and the sound tracks also have to be 5.1.....

Neo Gallery has a good selection... http://www.neoentertainmentgallery.com/neox/

They have a shop on the 4th floor of Airport Plaza and also on Huay Kaew Road next to Lanna Condo 3.

I looked all over but could not find what I wanted in CM. I ended up getting a good entry level Yamaha 5.1

amp from Piyanas Audio in BKK. Bank transfer and arrived in CM within 2 days.

NEO Gallery has good stuff and I have special ordered some speakers from them without problems.

By the way I now have a 3 year old SAMSUNG 5.1 " Home theatre in a Box" system with optional

wireless module for rear surround I want to unload cheap. PM me if interested.
