"Put the money in an envelope marked "FEE 1900 Baht""

Why?

Doing that gives the appearance of doing something wrong.

You know how appearances are.

They will try to scam you for 5.000 baht.

Put 1.900 in envelope marked "FEE 1.900 baht"

They also want the kor ror 2 (Marriage registrar from Amphur) updated, get a new one from the Amphur for 20 baht.

Never go Monday or Friday, to many tourists.

I usually go around 2-3 PM, less people.

Dress properly.

Here's my check list for paperwork.

1. Two application forms T.M. 7 with two photographs size 4x6 cm. and Visa Fee 1900.-Baht

2. Copy Marriage Certificate

3. Copy Kor Ror 2 from amphur office (not older than six months)

4. Child's birth certificate (if any)

5. Copy wife’s house registration

6. Copy wife’s identity card

7. Copy passport, non-Im visa, arrival card.

8. Interview the husband and wife for confirming status of husband and wife

9. Map to residency (location marked in Thai)

10. Picture of house and family, in house and outside showing house number.

With money in bank option.

1. Letter from bank same day or day before stating bank records, make a transaction just before to get it up to date.

2. Copy every page in Bankbook.

3. Bank account must be in Husbands name, joint accounts will not qualify.

With Income in Thailand option

1. A copy of work permit

2. Personal Corporation income Tax (PND.1) in latest 3 months and personal income tax for previous year with receipt

With Income from abroad.

1. Embassy letter stating your income.

All of the above in two copies.

All copies must be signed.

You will get 30 day "under consideration stamp", one bunch of paper will be sent to BKK for approval.

Return after 30 days to get remaining 11 months.

If Mr. Nut insists on 5000 baht , there is a sign outside the door with correct fees.

Please report back.

Did you get 2 months "under consideration", it's normally one month, check your stamp.

It is 2 months and the immigration officer told me to come back on the date or a couple of days days before otherwise there could be a chance the paperwork is not ready.

I expected 1 month as well so i made sure he told me that he gave me the correct date
