Is There A Good Tech Who Sets Up Electric Guitar In Bangkok Central World?

Featured Replies

Hey Guys, Is There A "Good Tech" Who Set Up Electric Guitar In Bangkok Central World?

As in a "Good" tech who knows what he's doing...

Last time I gave my old guitar to a guitar shop's tech near my place at Central Bangna 5th floor,

unfortunately, the guy had no idea what he was doing.. or he's just not putting in the effort to do it..

now I just bought a second-handed guitar Fender 57'Stratocaster reissue from the year 1993

which it has been quite a while since it got repair / maintenance,

so the truss rod, action, intonation, and pick up height, etc are kinda off and needs a proper set up.

as people always say "after a proper set up with a truly good guitar tech, it really makes a difference."

and that is true! so point is,

do you guys know a tech that does a good job on setting up guitars at central world/very nearby place?

a tech that's trustable and does put in the effort and at least knows what he's doing..

it would be great if you cold give me the tech's name / phone#,

(would be best if the tech could speak a little english, if not, it's fine too)

ps. pls don't tell me search youtube and do it myself.. I know it's not that difficult

but at least not for now and not this time, and it's not safe.

Any Reply Will Be Highly Appreciated. Cheers And Thank You. =D

The guy in central rama 3 is good.

Or Aliceia on rama 9. Which is my preferred.

I highly reccomend the stringshop on sukumvit 26 (closer to the rama IV side), and no I don't have any interest in the shop, but I have had guitars serviced there.

They are highly professional compared to any other place I have been in Bkk, the guy who has done work for me is named Chris.

If you can't be arsed to find their info on google (very simple) then I'm not going to do it for you, but I do reccomend going there.cowboy.gif

Worst.Tech.Ever.

"why are you worried about the warp in the neck, I can still stick a 1 baht coin under the strings at the 12th fret. 700 baht please"

I had good experience with Mr Sak in the Palladium near CW.....but I think I've told you that before in another post........

Stringshop I would definately be willing to try as all the guitars in that shop seem to be set up ok EXCEPT the <deleted> Chinese Squier Strat they demo all the amps and pedals on.......I've bought 2 pedals from them purely based on reviews and good faith rather than playing them with that piece of junk!...anyway, I digress.....Mr Sak, Palladium

some other people also suggested Aliceia on rama 9 before..

but worst tech ever? nvm lol

I'm not too sure how to find Mr Sak though...

maybe I'll give stringshop's Chris a try...

any idea around how much would a set up cost from these guys?

cheers : )

I've always been given very reasonable prices; and btw, its Suk. 24, not 26, my mistake, sorry.
