Flying Out Of (And Back Into) Thailand To Get New 'Visa On Arrival'

Featured Replies

Hi everyone.

I've done the searches but cannot find an answer to my question. I am British and currently have a stamp in my passport that I got on arrival at Suvarnabhumi that permits me to be in Thailand as a tourist for 30 days (expires 4th Feb). In the past 6 months I have been in and out of Thailand I think only 8 times (I work in Malaysia).

I intend flying to another country (probably Cambodia) and coming back so that I can get another 30 days 'visa on arrival'.

My question is: Do I have to stay out of Thailand for a minimum time period to do this (i.e., can I fly out of Thailand in the morning, fly back again the same day and still get a 30 day stamp without a problem)?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thank you guys.

It is not a visa on Arrival.

Yes you can leave and turn round and come back on the next flight.

You can immediately return for a new 30 day visa exempt entry.

You know this is not a visa on arrival (you visit a special counter on arrival to obtain those and they are only 15 days and only available for a handful of countries). For visa exempt entry you just proceed to normal immigration counter. Yes; I made that mistake many years ago.

Thanks for that guys. Now I just have to choose where to go to!!!!!!

For future reference (and in case anybody else asks me), do you know where the reference for this is please? Again, I tried Google but found nothing.

Thank you very much once again.
