Where in Laos? Only Savannaket has been reported as providing multi entry without financial requirements (not sure what Vientiane would require or even if they would issue). Be sure to have marriage certificate/copy and copy of wife ID card and home registers signed by her.

@lopburi3

I do plan to go to Savannakhet, with all the documents you mentioned, copies and originals.

I'm even taking my wife!!! :)

Well, based on the assumption that Thais don't have to buy a visa for Laos, as I read that somewhere here recently,

although that was a post from 2007.

I will even take a copy of my wp (company keeps original), and employment contract, but won't show unless

specifically asked.

I had my wife also call immigration in Phibun, and they said copies are not even needed, just originals, including her Thai ID.

I plan to take as many docs with me as possible....better too many than too little!

Then the first priority is getting there on time, preferably before 10.30 am even.

Will start driving at 7 am, from Ubon to Mukdahan.

Took me 2.5 hours last time I went there, years ago.

Will post my (hopefully positive) experience here after.

Cheers!

Various Consulates have specific forms for use. They may or may not accept the MFA version. Immigration forms are not for Consulate visa issue.
