IGCKorat Posted January 18, 2012 Share Posted January 18, 2012 My brother is visiting from the UK. He has with him an IPhone 4S which is unlocked. (Bought from the Carphone Warehouse in the UK who sell all phoned unlocked) We thought all he had to do was to buy a SIM from DTAC or TRUE but clearly there is more to it than that, as he has been unable to use the phone. jamesbrock Posted January 19, 2012 Share Posted January 19, 2012 If the phone is unlocked it should be as simple as that. He may not have his carrier settings set to auto - i.e he may have his UK carrier specified. Check Settings > Carrier and switch it to Automatic if it's not already. If you can connect to a Wi-Fi network, put the Thai SIM in and select Settings > General > About - a prompt should then appear with the newest carrier settings file for the carrier.
