Motorcycle Compulsory Insurance

I've just realized that my bike (Yamaha Fino, not quite the same as my old R6) tax disc ran out last November (Whoops then!).

I know where to go to get the disc but I don't know what to do about the bike insurance.

I don't want anything more than the bog standard compulsory insurance. The bike's about 3 years old and is never parked on the street so I don't see the need.

Is there a govt insurance company? Or do you just pick a Thai one?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Just out of interest is this only third party accidents? If i injured myself on the bike could i claim upto 50k through my compulsory insurance.

covers single accidents to, need valid DL, thats Thai DL if you own the bike, and need to be sober. You pay medical bills first, they consider them later
