I have looked at the topics but cant find anything for thai people to get a passport, basically on monday I have to get a visa in Laos. Are there any passport offices near Pattaya that are open on a Sat/Sun that can do a express service for a passport so that she can come with me?

I see they have one in Bang Na but not sure if they will offer this service?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I could be mistaken, but I don't believe that any Thai passport office offer any such express service. They tend to be set in their ways....

If your wife is thai, I don't think she needs a pasport. ID card should be enough.

Yes, but he (the op) said, he want to make a visa. So 2 days should be enough for this.

When we used to go to Laos my g/f always got a visa in her passport just like I had to. Maybe it's not mandatory?

With a passport she would just get an entry stamp good for 14 days, non-extendable, but a passport is the minimum entry document required. ID card by itself is no good (been there, done that).

I fear you've left it too late, plus it's Chinese New Year 23rd January. That may put a spanner in the works or give you a work-around.

Fortunately Thai's can enter Laos by using a border pass, if travelling by land. These are available for 50 baht at booths just near the border. A Thai I'd card and 2 photo's are all that are needed. Will give you 3 days entry to Laos. These are not available if arriving by air in which case a passport is required.

Border passes are also generally available on a similar basis for Malaysia, but not Cambodia.

I believe they are avail to thais to all the bordering counties. It's a reciprocating agreement with the countries as most of them don't need a passport to enter Thailand either.
