Chalerm: No officials will be spared from law for committing crimes

BANGKOK, 25 January 2011 (NNT) -- In the latest drug bust, Deputy Prime Minister Police Captain Chalerm Yubumrung said he would take legal actions against any officials if they were found to be involved in a drug offence.

Following the recent arrest of two suspects possessing 38 million pills of narcotic drugs, the Deputy Prime Minister said he had also been tipped off that officials working at the Bang Khwang Correctional Center had tried to smuggle illicit substances into the prison.

Police Captain Chalerm said no one would be above the law if they had committed a crime. However, the identity of the alleged officials remains confidential. According to the Deputy Prime Minister, there are 3 groups of suspects said to be behind the distribution of narcotics in the country. They are also believed to have connections in Thailand’s neighboring countries.

The Deputy Prime Minister also said he would soon call a major meeting of police officers, in his attempt to overhaul the entire police system. He claimed the change will improve the efficiency of the police operations. 25,000 more police officers will be recruited within 5 years under his plan, with 5,000 officers to be started with next year.

Just officials children and idiot cousins.

BANGKOK, 25 January 2011 (NNT)-In the latest drug bust, Deputy Prime Minister Police Captain Chalerm Yubumrung said he would take legal actions against any officials if they were found to be involved in a drug offence.

Of course corruption and intimidation offenses will be back-burnered as long as possible.

+1

Just what I was thinking.

Correct, the first group has several tens of thousand members and is quite recognisable because the mostly wear bown costumes.

The second group has probably even more members but is more diversified as they control the air,the sea and the land.

The third group has the least members as it are those that are shot to dead frequently because they try to compete with the other 2 groups.

You have to understand that in this family the birthing process requires a toilet. Quick and simple with no prenatal care. Hence no advanced or demonstrative cognitive abilities. We should really feel pity for the toilet birthers among us.

Chalerm could give all the modern day detective heroes a run for their money. Once again, he has kept the names of the offenders in his pocket. Some day, it will all come out and then we better watch this space

I can never figure out why other governments don't hire Chalerm as a consultant on crime, as he always seems to have his fingers in the till on the pulse when it comes to criminal activity. I'm sure along with his son Mr Happy Toilet, they'll be able to flush these crooks out.

When was the last time a major cartel was taken down in Thailand...?

...

*crickets chirp*

2006 WASN'T IT cool.png

And as you would expect when a large criminal gang in Thailand is busted, the ring leader got away and remains out of jail, wealthy, and dangerous

"The Deputy Prime Minister also said he would soon call a major meeting of police officers, in his attempt to overhaul the entire police system."

He can start by replacing all the police officers in Phuket and Pattaya, including top brass, for allowing blatant extortions daily, on its beaches.

Given Chalerm's hypocrisy regarding these endless statements about cracking down on corruption, I am amazed he is able to keep a straight face when speaking them... The fact he is talking about adding more police is simply rubbing the noses of the Thai people in shit. The police here are not really police, they are much closer to tax collectors with guns.

Thailand, which is a fairly law abiding Buddhist country, already has one of the highest ratios of police to citizens in the world. So to add additional police is simply an action that will add more leeches upon the backs of the Thai people. How about...........straightening up the existing police force ?? Since they seem to bring shame upon Thailand on a virtual daily basis, that is the first thing that Chalerm should clean up. First step ? Eliminate the world famous inactive post as a corruption punishment. Instead take a page from China's book. If you are caught performing corruption there , you are executed..... I suspect after the first few police were executed, the others would straighten up and fly right. :-)

What about the sons of officials?

Its nice when green bananas ripen to a lovely yellow. LAW is LAW and no one, I mean no one on earth stands above it!!!! Let that sink into everyones mind and the country will live as a just society. As long as a mother hides her son, A father turns blind to family abuse, and certain affluent people avoid facing reality....like an ostrich with its head in the sand, afraid to face upto reality and reason..... law will only be defined and redefined for the end of those who evade it.
