Our company is considering offering a 6 month internship to a European student.

While the intern won't have a salary, we will cover most of the expenses, including the visa.

What kind of visa should try to get? Business? Student?

The Intern will be working, even if unpaid, and as such will need a non-B visa and a work permit. It is possible to get one valid for 6 months only.
