January 14, 200422 yr Author so i have to pay 500 baht departure tax when i fly home. but it is free to leave country when i go on visa run. also will i need to pay to arrive in the other country on visa run i will be mainly staying in the south so i suppose it means crossing into malaysia
January 15, 200422 yr Any flight out of Thailand will cost 500 baht in airport departure tax. If you go by land you don't pay that. If you (your passport) has visa free entry to Malaysia it will not cost anything to enter/exit. Remember that a tourist visa only allows 60 days but can be extended at an immigration point for another 30 days for 1,900 baht. Are you sure it is a tourist visa and not a non immigrant visa? Can't understand the question about salary for a tourist.

I think he's asking whether he needs to evidence his available funds to Thai authorities Lop.
January 16, 200422 yr I think he's asking whether he needs to evidence his available funds to Thai authorities Lop. Perhaps but he did say income/savings rather than cash. Also his use of "multi" instead of a number of entries for visa made me suspect he might have a non immigrant visa (and thinking of retirement income/salary requirements). But only he knows.
